the brief
This series of animations for the "MeatEater Tailgate Tour" captures the deep-rooted connection between hunting and community, all set against the backdrop of major college football towns. From whitetail pursuits in Michigan to turkey hunts in Tennessee, each stop highlights the distinctive landscapes, flavors, and fan cultures that define these states.
the process
As animator and motion designer, I was responsible for crafting three of the four visual introductions that set the tone for each location the team visited. My work included custom animated sequences and motion graphics that showcased the identity of each college and state—capturing their essence through typography, color palettes, movement and imagery. These visual intros not only helped orient the viewer, but also reinforced the personality of each stop along the tour.
Initial decks were designed by Brook Price, from which I began to craft sequences around.
